VACANT land behind Headstone Lane could be transformed into an industrial estate for start-up businesses providing up to 84 jobs.

The plot of land, which used to be a car park but is currently unused, is the subject of a planning application submitted to Harrow Council to redevelop this brownfield site.

Headstone Developments wants to construct 11 two-storey buildings designated for B8 use (storage and distribution) on the ground floors and B1 use (offices, research and development and light industry) on the first floors, with solar panels on the roof and associated car park.

The company provided an employment assessment to the council which suggests the U-shaped set of start-up business units could create 84 new jobs.
