A HUGE range of events and activities for the whole family to enjoy will be on offer this weekend at the 85 th annual Middlesex Town & Country Show.

a sheepdog display, an angling demonstration and a display of classic vehicles.

The Countryside Arena will host a ferret race display, a bamboo fishing rod demonstration, a Cash in the Attic event and a display of owls.

In the theatre section of the show there will be belly dancing performances, ballet, drummers and much more. There will also be cookery demonstrations, beer and wine tasting and a home and garden theatre.

Other demonstrations will include chainsaw carving, dance, floral, adult education, photography and art, a blacksmith, and a display of produce from local allotments.

Along with this vast array of events there will also be helicopter rides, an area for children to play with paint and clay, adult education workshops, fun fair rides, a parrot display and hamster shows.

Food, gifts and crafts can be bought at the show and there will be a number of competitions for people to enter, including the Middlesex Creative Writing & Poetry Competition and Hillingdon Adult Education Competition.

The show will be open from 9.30am to 6pm on Saturday (20) and Sunday (21) at the Middlesex Showground, Uxbridge, UB8 1NS.

Admission is £8 for adults, £7.50 for senior citizens and £3 for children and tickets are cheaper if bought in advance.
