POLICE have released CCTV images of two suspects who attempted to burgle the home of elderly woman.
The first suspect (pictured) knocked on her home in Almond Avenue, South Ealing, at about 2.15pm on Wednesday, January 4. She looked out the window and saw a male looking through the ground floor, front room window.
About 10 minutes later she saw a second suspect jumping over the back fence into the back garden holding what appeared to be a hammer where he was joined by his accomplice.
They then allegedly tried to force open the back door but were interrupted and ran off.
The first suspect is described as a black male, aged between 17 and 23, and about 5ft 10in tall. He was wearing dark grey tracksuit bottoms, black trainers, a dark top and a green cap with a black visor. He has shoulder length braids in his hair and had some stubble on his chin.
The second suspect is described as white male, aged around 17 and is about 5ft 9in tall. He was wearing black trainers, blue denim jeans, a black and navy blue American style jacket with a '3' symbol on the left side, a blue and white checked shirt and black and white goalkeeper gloves.
Officers from Ealing Burglary Squad have released CCTV images recorded at the time of the incident.
PC Donna Coker investigating said: "We are very keen to speak to the men in the CCTV as we know they were in the area at the time of the incident, and ask for anyone who knows who or where they are to contact us."
