Two men have been convicted of stealing s800-worth of fishing reels from Harefield Tackle in High Street.

Laine Buckingham, 23, of Woodcroft Crescent, Uxbridge, must complete a training programme and pay s100 compensation, plus s150 court costs, after he was found guilty at Uxbridge Magistrates Court.

Daniel Shaw, 24, of Wyndham Crescent, Slough, admitted the offence and must pay s200 compensation and work 120 hours unpaid.

John Foley, of Harefield Safer Neighbourhood Team, arrested the pair on January 14. He said: "This type of offence is rare in Harefield and I hope these convictions serve as a deterrent to others."
