A MEETING is being held on Sunday to discuss concerns about plans for a new strip club in Hounslow.

An application was last month submitted by H Properties Ltd to open a 24-hour striptease venue at the old Rileys snooker hall at the west end of Hounslow High Street.

It is the same venue where Mist Gentleman’s Club opened in November 2010, becoming the borough’s first strip club.

That was closed by the owners after just four months, following fury from surrounding residents and a 900-signature petition.

A meeting will take place at Holy Trinity Church, in Hounslow High Street, on Sunday (May 13) at midday. Anyone is welcome.

Reverend Malcolm Herbert, of the church, who organised the meeting said he was concerned about the club’s impact on children and families and the potential rise in crime and disorder.
