THE Mayor of Ealing was treated to a welcome cookie and sneak peak at a newly refurbished Hilton hotel in the borough.

Councillor Kamaljit Dhindsa became one of the first guests to be checked into DoubleTree by Hilton in Hanger Lane, W5, just a few minutes' walk from London Ealing underground and overground station.

The 189-bedroom hotel has undergone a £10million refurbishment and hopes to entice business travellers with a 'relaxed setting for informal meetings' as well as in-room working areas and tech-friendly stations in the bar and lounge.

DoubleTree by Hilton London - Ealing has six meeting rooms, accommodating up to 240 guests, that is expected to be hired out for weddings and christenings in future. It also has a grill restaurant with locally sourced ingredients.

General manager Matt Williams said: "Following the hotel’s £10million refurbishment, DoubleTree by Hilton London – Ealing has been transformed to offer contemporary comforts in a relaxed, suburban environment."
