Hundreds of animal lovers attended an open day hosted by the Mayhew Animal Home which had live entertainment, a barbeque and special guests.

The summer event in Trenmar Gardens, Kensal Green raises over £9,000 for abused or abandoned animals all over London. It took place on Sunday (July 20) and was attended by the Mayor of Hammersmith, Councillor Mercy Umeh.

Visitors were able to meet some of the furry friends who are cared for by the Mayhew and speak to the animal welfare officers.

Caroline Yates, CEO of the Mayhew said: “I would like to thank everyone who came along to support us. It was a great fun day out for everyone."
