The man was one of two people who received roadside treatment after the three-car collision in Shepiston Lane.

Emergency crews were called to the scene just before 7.20am. A London Fire Brigade spokesman said two people had already been removed from the vehicles and were being treated by paramedics by the time a fire crew arrived at the scene. They left shortly afterwards.

A London Ambulance Service spokesman said a man in his 30s was taken to Hillingdon Hospital for treatment to a head injury, which is not believed to be serious.

Last year a driver was arrested after crashing a Mercedes into a tree in Shepiston Lane in November.

The passengers of the car being driven by Umier Iqbal, from East Avenue, Hayes, were left with injuries, while the 21-year-old driver fled the scene.

Iqbal was later jailed .
