A ROBBER punched a woman in the face and fled with her £10,000 designer watch.

The woman was walking back to her car in the Matalan car park in Cricklewood Broadway when a man grabbed hold of her wrist from behind. As she resisted, he punched her in the face.

He ran away with her Cartier watch valued at over £10,000 and was chased a short distance by the woman and then by a member of the public on a bicycle towards the B&Q store.

The suspect was described as black and in his 20s, 5ft 8ins tall and of slim build. He was wearing a black hooded top and dark coloured baseball cap.

The stolen watch is yellow gold Cartier Tank Francaise watch with roman numeral white faced dial.

Police Constable Brett Skowron from Brent Priority Crime Unit is appealing for witnesses to the robbery on Wednesday, May 23, at 2.30pm.

He said: “I am appealing to anyone in the area as it would have been busy at the time who either witnessed the offence or the suspect being chased along the A5 and also anyone who has been offered one of the above watches for sale since the date of the offence to contact me.”
