A 34-YEAR-OLD man who died after being hit by a train at Harrow and Wealdstone station has been named as North Harrow resident David Beesley.
He was struck and injured by the northbound 7.40pm London Midland service from Euston to Manchester shortly before 8pm on Wednesday November 24 and was pronounced dead at the scene.
At the opening of the inquest into Mr Beesley's death, coroner Andrew Walker heard the 34-year-old victim was an unmarried construction worker who lived in Parkside Way although no cause of death has yet been established.
The hearing on Thursday (Dec 2) at North London Coroner's Court in Barnet was adjourned indefinitely.
Mr Beesley's death is not being treated as suspicious by the British Transport Police.
