A YOUNG pedestrian died after a traffic accident in Wembley on Saturday night.

The 24-year-old was involved in a collision with a car in Blackbird Hill, close to the junction with Old Church Lane shortly before 11pm on Saturday March 23.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

A spokeswoman for the London Ambulance Service said: "Our staff treated one patient, a male reported to be in his early 20's. Despite extensive efforts to resuscitate him, he was pronounced dead at the scene by a doctor from the Air Ambulance."

The driver of the Mercedes stopped at the scene and was not arrested.
