A 21-year-old has been sent to jail for 30 months for supplying cocaine and having fake money.

Jared Bell, of Hide Road, Harrow, pleaded guilty to possession and intent to supply with class A drugs and was sentenced on Tuesday August 19 at Harrow Crown Court.

Officers from the Wealdstone Proactive Unit searched his house and found a quantity of herbal cannabis and what appeared to be cocaine concealed in paper wraps, all of which were wrapped in cling film, and a substantial amount of cash.

Bell was arrested for possession with intent to supply and money laundering and later charged.

The £1,700 cash was seized and some of the bank notes were confirmed as counterfeit and Bell was then further arrested and charged with possession of counterfeit money.

The laboratory results confirmed the powder seized was cocaine with the value estimated to be in excess of £1,200.

Investigating officer PC Fran Shepherd of the Wealdstone Proactive Unit said: “Harrow is even safer now after this conviction and demonstrates the commitment to which Harrow Police will go to, to rid the streets of those intent on breaking the law.

“Our aim is to continue to make the people in Harrow safe and indeed make Harrow the safest borough in London.”
