POLICE are hoping someone might recognise this man who is wanted in connection with a botched robbery at a betting shop.

Two men entered the bookies in Northolt on Wednesday, December 1, at about 2.20pm armed with what appeared to be a long-barrelled gun wrapped up in a black bin liner.

One demanded cash from the man behind the till, while a second man told two customers to get out of the shop. The pair then smashed the safety glass at the counter before fleeing the premises empty-handed. Nobody was hurt.

Both suspects are believed to be in their 20s, of average height and build and speaking with London accents.

The Met's Flying Squad team, which deals with armed robberies, is investigating.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the team on 020 8358 1879 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
