A MAN was treated for head injuries after being hit by a bus in Shepherd's Bush.

Police and ambulance crews were called to the Frithville Gardens junction with Uxbridge Road just before 3pm last Thursday after the accident.

An air ambulance landed on Shepherd's Bush Green to help treat the man, who was unconscious and had deep cuts to his head, while police reduced traffic outside Shepherd's Bush Market station to one lane.

The man, whose injuries were not life-threatening, was taken by road to a west London hospital at 3.17pm while the road were re-opened twenty minutes later.

It comes after a 56-year-old man died after being hit by a bus outside Shepherd's Bush tube station in January.
