Police investigating a cannabis farm in Osterley where a man was found hanged have appealed to the community for more information.

Officers will be in Spring Grove Crescent, where the man's body was discovered on August 1 in a semi-detached house packed with cannabis plants, tonight (Friday, August 15) from 6pm to 8pm.

Hounslow Police say the death and the presence of drugs are not known to be linked and are being treated as separate enquiries.

They are still seeking to identify the man, believed to be in his mid-20s, and said enquiries are ongoing with authorities in Lithuania, from where he is thought to have originated.

"The investigating officers have incorporated any additional information from witnesses into their enquiries and appeal to the local community for further information," said a police spokeswoman.

"To that end the local neighbourhood policing team will be present in Spring Grove Crescent seeking information that might assist with either of these enquiries on Friday, August 15, from 6pm-8pm."

A neighbour had told getwestlondon shortly after the body was discovered that she and her husband had reported their concerns about the property to the letting agent and police.

She believed more could have been done to close down the drugs factory, possibly preventing the man's death.
