A SUSPECTED drug dealer is due in court today after police found two laundry bags full of cannabis in a car in Chiswick.

Paul O'Brien, of London Road, Isleworth, is scheduled to appear at Uxbridge Magistrates' Court today, charged with possession to supply class A and class B drugs.

The 39-year-old was arrested on Wednesday, September 4, after police stopped a car he was driving in Chiswick High Road and found the bags stuffed with drugs inside.

Officers then searched his home address, where they found a large amount of cocaine, more cannabis and approximately £20,000 of cash, which they seized under the Proceeds of Crime Act.

The car was stopped as part of Operation Cubo, the Metropolitan Police crackdown on uninsured vehicles.

Chief Superintendent Carl Bussey, Hounslow borough commander, said: "I'm pleased the efforts of the Chiswick Neighbourhood Policing Team have resulted in such a significant quantity of drugs being taken off the streets with a suspected drug dealer now placed in custody."
