A man has denied taking part in an attempted multi-million pound cyber bank raid allegedly operated from a shed in Hounslow.

Akash Vaghela, of Beavers Lane, Hounslow, is accused of being part of a gang which used hi-tech gadgets in a bid to plunder huge sums from a high street bank.

The 27-year-old appeared alongside other alleged gang members at Southwark Crown Court on Monday, where he denied conspiracy to steal credit balances from Santander using a keyboard video monitoring device last September.

He was bailed to return for a pre-trial review on February 3.

Asad Qureshi, 35, of South Kensington, and Dean Outram, 34, of Kensal Rise, north-west London, have previously admitted offences linked to money stolen or laundered from Santander. Lanre Mullins Abudu, 25, of Putney, denies conspiracy to steal from Santander and charges of fraud, theft and possession of articles for use in fraud. He is due to stand trial alongside Mr Vaghela.
