A SOUTH Ruislip man has denied breeding fighting dogs in his home and will stand trial on eight charges under the Dangerous Dogs Act.

Paul Seale, of Diamond Road, is also charged with five counts of neglecting the needs of dogs under his care.

The 36-year-old denies that he has kept and bred Pit Bull Terriers, breeds which are banned under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991.

He entered a 'not guilty' plea to all charges against him at Uxbridge Magistrates' Court on December 22 and will now stand trial at the same court on March 23, following a case management hearing on March 16.

In November last year a dog owner in Ruislip was banned from keeping pets for 10 years after admitting that her American Pitbull type dog was dangerously out of control when it bit another dog and its owner.

Earlier the same month a pet greyhound was fatally wounded in an Eastcote street by a Japanese Akita dog the owner had been keeping in his garden.
