A MAN has been charged for the fatal stabbing in Southall.
Saqib Asif Khan, of Derley Road, Southall, appeared at Feltham Magistrates Court on Tuesday (17) and charged with the murder of the 24-year-old man stabbed in Spikes Bridge Road on Saturday (14).
Police were called to the scene following reports of an assault around 12.15pm. He was taken to a west London hospital where he later died.
Christine Warman, of Spikes Bridge Road, saw the aftermath. She said: "Police had cordoned off the street, what seemed like hundreds of police.
"I heard lots of screaming and shouting but that's normal from time to time. It's usually a very quiet area. We get some trouble from the park but that's about it."
A post-mortem at Uxbridge mortuary on Sunday gave cause of death as a single stab wound to the chest.
The 21-year-old woman who was arrested with Khan on Sunday (15) has been released with no further action.
