A MAN from Cricklewood has been charged with stabbing a schoolboy several times in a broad daylight attack near to his school.
The 17-year-old, who attends Paddington Academy, was stabbed in the stomach and hands shortly before 12.30pm on Friday (March 25).
Joao Fernesdes-Costa, 25, of Pine Road, Cricklewood, appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Monday where he was remanded in custody.
The latest incident came almost exactly three years after 14-year-old Paddington Academy pupil Amro Elbadawi was stabbed to death by a friend and fellow pupil, Youssif Drissi.
Drissi was sentenced to two years in a young offenders' institution at the Old Bailey in February 2009, after he admitted manslaughter.
The stabbing took place near Amro's home on the Mozart Estate, Queen's Park.
