A MAN enjoying a night out was attacked on the dance floor at a club in Kilburn.

Brent police are appealing for witnesses to an incident at the Good Ship, Kilburn High Road, on Sunday, January 20, just after 3am.

The man was on the dance floor and talking to another man when the suspect approached them. The suspect tried to take the victim’s hat from his head and there was an altercation between them.

He then punched the victim in the face once and the victim stumbled backwards.

The suspect danced like a boxer and punched the victim again, once to the left side of his face and the 20-year-old fell to the floor unconscious. His hat was taken by the suspect, who walked off.

The man was taken to hospital and suffered substantial facial fractures to his nose and cheekbone and required surgery.

The suspect is described as a white man, with short dark hair and of muscular build. He was wearing a blue short sleeved T-shirt and dark, skinny-type trousers.

Detective Constable Emma Smy from the Violent Crime Unit said: “This is an appalling act of violence where the victim was assaulted and suffered serious injury.”
