Detectives investigating the murder of a young man in south west London have made two further arrests.

The men, aged 20 and 26, were detained at addresses in Wandsworth on Friday (September 1) in connection with the murder of Malachi Brooks.

The 21-year-old died after being stabbed through the heart in Surrey Lane, near Battersea Park, on Tuesday March 28.

Police and ambulance services attended shortly after 1am and found Malachi suffering stab wounds. He sadly died at the scene.

A post mortem examination found he died of a stab wound to the heart.

Officers from Metropolitan Police arrested a 21-year-old man on Wednesday April 26 on suspicion of murder. He was bailed pending further enquiries and subsequently received no further action.

Two further arrests were made on Friday (September 1). A 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder.

A second man, aged 26, was arrested for arson and perverting the course of justice.

Both remain in custody at a south London police station.

Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command are investigating.
