Thousands of west Londoners are expected to help form the biggest 'NO' during Saturday afternoon's protest against proposed Heathrow airport expansion.

People will march over two miles beginning at noon in the 'Make a NOise' protest from Hatton Cross station to Sipson, where participants will gather to spell out a giant 'NO.' The march will be followed by various speakers, including political leaders, councillors and community activists.

Cllr Sheila O'Reilly said she expects many Hounslow residents and organizations to attend the rally - "You name it, they will be there," she said.

"I just hope the government, BAA and the airlines will all listen to what we have to say," she said. "We've got enough airplanes going overhead at any moment. We don't need a third runway."
