A GRANDMOTHER is raising thousands of pounds by jumping out of an aeroplane – and her family think she is ‘completely mad’.
Liz Chingnell (pictured) will be doing a skydive on Saturday in aid of St Luke’s Hospice in Kenton.
The 63-year-old, who lives in Broadwood Avenue, Ruislip, said: “I have done the Race for Life and things like that but I just thought this was a good thing to do. I have been emailing everyone I know and I have had quite a good response... everyone has been digging deep.”
Mrs Chignell has two children and six grandchildren. Her former employer, Santander in Northwood, has agreed to donate £700. Mrs Chingnell chose the hospice because a friend of her husband’s spent some of his final days there.
