The M25 remains shut in the anticlockwise direction after a serious lorry crash.
The lorry collided with the nearside barrier and landed near a brook for the River Lea at 7pm on Tuesday (August 21) evening, forcing the closure of the orbital route between junctions 25 and 27.
The lorry was said to be "fully loaded with flammable liquids" which is why the major road has been closed for so long.
Police have confirmed that a man has been reported for careless driving after the crash.
Essex Police said: "We were called shortly after 7pm on Tuesday, August 21, to reports of a single vehicle collision involving a lorry on the M25 anticlockwise between junctions 26 and 25.
"The lorry was reported to have collided with the nearside road barrier, before leaving the carriageway. No one was injured during the incident.
"A 32-year-old man from the Czech Republic has been reported for careless driving with the matter being referred to the courts."

Diversions in place
Highways England has issued the following details about the diversion:

What we know so far
The M25 anticlockwise has closed between J27 (M11) and J25 (WalthamCross/Cheshunt). This is so recovery can take place for a lorry full of flammable liquid which has fallen near a brook on the River Lea.
