Thousands of west Londoners are expected to flock to Wembley Arena on Sunday for a sports festival geared towards London 2012.

The Culture8 Festival stops at Wembley from 3 - 8pm and includes a 'sports zone', part of the London Development Agency's Summer of Sport programme.

Visitors will get the chance to try out rugby, parkour, basketball, self-defence and table tennis in the zone, manned by coaches from local clubs.

Around further 100 activities will also be put on across London in the next six weeks. For more information about what is happening in west London visit

LDA Group Director of Olympic Legacy, Tom Russell said: "London Summer of Sport gives Londoners the chance to play a sport they may not have tried before. Thousands have already taken part and many of them will carry on participating through local clubs they met at the events."
