SIPSON was in full swing for the annual village fair.
More than 200 people flocked to Sipson's recreation ground on Saturday, and hopped on fairground rides, fought it out in sumo suits, took on tug-of-war duels, and tucked into delicious food and cakes.
There was local musical talent performing live, too. Four-piece band, Ask Your Mum, had the crowd on their feet, and Sipson-based jazz singer Julia Titus also impressed.
Lizzie Ellis Parr, founder of the Ellis Parr Irish Dance Academy who teaches weekly at St Martin's Church in nearby West Drayton, also took to the stage.
Organiser Jackie Clark-Basten, who has lived in Sipson all her life and was named community champion and overall winner of the Gazette's Local Heroes Awards in June, said: "It was great that we could promote things going on in the community that people can get involved with.
"Setting up the gazebos in the morning was quite tricky because of the strong winds, but we managed. It was a good team effort and despite the weather, everyone seemed to have a good time."
