THE National Deaf Children’s Society Listening Bus visited a Northolt school to show children their latest technology.

Hearing impaired pupils and their families from Gifford Primary were invited to test out the equipment, which ranged from vibrating alarm clocks to listening to films and music on their iPads, on July 17.

Other children from the school on Greenhill Gardens also boarded the bus where they experienced what it felt like to wear a hearing aid and were challenged by a lip reading quiz.

Feedback from the day was positive from both students and parents, who said they had learnt a lot from the resource and thanked their visitors.
