TWO children needed hospital treatment after buying booze from a Hillingdon shop which has since lost its licence.

The underage children bought the drink from Omkara in Halls Terrace, Uxbridge Road, Hillingdon, in January.

But after a parent of one of the hospitalized children contacted police, a review of the premises' licence was launched.

Owner of the off-licence, Bindhu Santhoshkumar, was given permission to serve alcohol in May 2007 providing she agreed to conditions, including installing CCTV.

After police inspected footage they found the positioning of the cameras prohibited a clear view of what customers were purchasing.

On Wednesday, Mrs Santhoshkumar went before Hillingdon Council's licensing sub-committee, who revoked the licence in full.

She now has 21 days to appeal against the decision at Uxbridge Magistrates' Court.
