Letters: Let's hope there are more rides

I WRITE after doing a few laps of the Ealing Sky Ride. What a wonderful event.

To see so many people cycling in one place was hopefully a sign more people will give up using their vehicles a few times a week to cycle more. The event was very well organised and it was great to have good weather. I hope Ealing Council uses this opportunity to promote cycling, so we can reduce the amount of air pollution from engine exhausts and improve people's heath. In my ward of Southfield we have installed cycle racks, we are to pay for cycle training so residents can get some guidance on how to cycle safely.

Lib Dems want to see the council put some effort to do more to get more residents in Ealing cycling.
