REGARDING the Fly Past article 'Connie finds itself outdated' (Chronicle, February 11).
As a boy, I flew to Bombay on that very same aircraft, BOAC Lockheed Constellation registration G-ANUZ.
I still have the ticket and you can see the flight number BA775-249 and the cost then for me was £22 10s (£22.50).
My dad was senior staff at BOAC, hence the cheap fare - even for those days.
Fog was very bad on the return I remember, and we had to land at Hurn Airport in Bournemouth, to be transported by train to Waterloo.
I was only 13 years of age then, but what an adventure it all was.
