FURTHER to the letter in the Uxbridge Gazette from Tom Morgan about the demise of the Middlesex Show (Reluctantly we had to just call it a day, Letters, May 4), I have been instructed by the organising committee to draw your attention of all your readers that an alternative to that show will occur on the showground on July 17, namely the Rotary Club of Uxbridge Autoshow .

It is now hailed as the premier outdoor motoring event west of London, more than 2,000 historic and classic vehicles on display, cars, motorcycles, commercial and military vehicles, kit and custom cars.

It is a good day out for all the family, with arena events, auto jumble, food village, licensed bar, children's activity area, and Punch and Judy show.

All proceeds will go to advertised charities.
