I AM grateful to your reader in the recent letters page who put the record straight on Mark Bowen, deputy leader of the council.
Nice to know he is not short-changing himself!
I had to laugh at the leader's article in the recent waste of money, otherwise known as HM magazine.
The photo of him - the same used for the second time this year - preceded an item on the use of gas cylinders!
Of all the things he can think of, surely there are other important things to write about.
What will he write about next - the use of chiller cabinets perhaps?
The leader won't be writing about his well-publicised £44,000-a-year windfall or, indeed, his beano to Cannes.
It is not just the MPs that are raking it in! One of your readers likened him to Harry Hill in appearance.
But with a white cat on his lap, I see him more as arch-fiend of 007, Ernst Stavro Blofeld.
