A LANTERN parade and flame-throwing tuba player lit up Hounslow town centre over the weekend.

About 50 pupils from Orchard and Grove Road primary schools marched down Hounslow High Street last Friday (December 16) afternoon displaying festive lanterns created in conjunction with Feltham Arts Association.

The following day, shoppers were treated to a series of free performances in the High Street, organised by Brentford’s Watermans Arts Centre.

Hounslow Music Service got people’s feet tapping, while students from West Thames College put on a stunning dance display.

A spectacular display of glow-in-the-dark juggling by Gandini and a tuba player who breathed fire out of the top of his instrument rounded off the day’s entertainment.
