A LANDLORD from Harrow has been fined nearly £1,500 after he was caught dumping masses of unwanted household waste – recouped from a tenant for payment.

Mohsen Ben Mabrouk Riahi, of Weald Lane, Harrow Weald, was seen flytipping a truck loaded with plastic bags, a sofa, drawers, a wardrobe, a television stand, paint, toys, wood and plastic scraps, in Buckhinghamshire last year.

Having hired the tipper truck on January 10, last year, the 40-year-old had taken the waste from a house in Slough before a motorist spotted him dumping it in the street.

He admitted to flytipping at Wycombe Magistrates Court on Tuesday last week (April 6) and was ordered to pay £1,346.

The owner of the tipper, Sedar Hamza Yigit, of Hertfordshire, was given the same fine after admitting to controlling the use of the tipper when the offence took place.

The case was prosecuted by Buckinghamshire County Council working on behalf of the Waste Partnership for Buckinghamshire.
