FORGET a gold rush, there was a chocolate rush at Hounslow's Lampton School as pupils took part in a charity Easter egg hunt.

Last Wednesday's (March 27) event at the school, in Lampton Avenue, was held to raise money for a charity centre in Isleworth.

It was one of a number of fundraisers organised across the borough as part of the Mulberry Centre's Great Big Get Together campaign.

The charity, based in the grounds of West Middlesex Hospital, supports people affected by cancer, providing services from counselling to alternative therapy.

It called on offices, schools and clubs to put on fundraising events ranging from cake sales to sponsored dinners as part of its first Great Big Get Together during March.

Other events included a raffle at Hounslow Civic Centre last Thursday (March 28), conducted by Hounslow mayoress Ajmer Grewal, with a cake donated by Jay's Clever Cakes among the prizes.
