OFFICERS have run a two-day operation to take weapons off the streets of Brent.
Brent Borough Intelligence Unit, the Territorial Support Group, and CO19 carried out the sting around the St Raphael's Estate and the Stonebridge Estate on Wednesday and Thursday last week.
During the search officers discovered a kitchen knife, an ice pick, a utility knife and a quantity of what is believed to be class A drugs. Four men in their 20s were arrested for possession with intent to supply class A drugs.
All have been bailed to appeal at a local police station on the October 1, 2009.
Superintendent Simon Corkill said: "During the operation numerous residents spoke to the officers to say how pleased they were with a police presence. One resident helped in finding a knife. The operation has been positive in the weapons recovered, arrests made and community contact."
