A SCHOOLGIRL remains in a critical condition after being hit by a car yesterday morning in Kingsbury.
Witnesses are being sought by detectives investigating the collision between the 12-year-old pedestrian and a black Honda S2000 convertible at just after 7.50am at the junction of Kingsbury Lane and Slough Lane.
A London Ambulance Service spokesman said: "Our staff treated a girl for serious head injuries and she was taken to the major trauma centre at St Mary's Hospital [in Paddington] as a priority by ground ambulance, accompanied by the London Air Ambulance doctor."
Detective Sergeant Jane Mallett, from Alperton Road Death Investigation Unit, said: "A 12-year-old girl is seriously injured and in hospital
after this tragic incident.
"I would urge anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward and contact police."
The driver of the Honda stopped at the scene and was interviewed by police. There have been no arrests.
