I LIVE in Headstone Lane and back right on to Broadfields Country Club.

I am devestated at the prospect of looking out on to a caravan site.

I really don’t know where to start with my objections as there is nothing positive to come out of this proposal.

Traffic, noise, untidiness, crime, affect on property prices, not to mention the gross image it would present from my bedroom window.

I wonder what the next step is to object to this in the proper way.

I had a conversation with Fergal O’Donnell from Harrow Council straight after receiving a note through my door on February 3. Mr O’Donnell told me that an application had been made for ‘required information in order to apply for planning, no application for planning permission has been made at this stage’.

This conversation as I said was held on February 3, but the council website says that a planning application was made in January. Confusing.

Previously to my conversation with Fergal O’Donnell, I emailed the council regarding an issue with the restaurant in Broadfields on January 29, whilst writing I took the opportunity to request confirmation of the proposed use of the land as I have heard that the owner was selling it and it was going to be used as a cemetery, previous to that it was going to be a mosque.

We have lived her for six years and there have always been rumours, this latest one, however, feels very different.

My objection to the current proposal could not be stronger and I would welcome any suggestions on how to move forward in being successful keeping the land in its current form.
