The weekend brought the first spate of street parties, flower festivals and fundays, with lots more scheduled for Monday and Tuesday as the long bank holiday weekend rolls on.

Gazette photographers are out in force capturing all the fun, and reflecting all the hard work and organisation that has gone into the festivities.

More than 4,000 people attended a Jubilee celebration nine months in the planning in Northwood Hills.

One party did fall victim to the weather on Sunday: North Uxbridge Residents' Association cancelled its celebration intended to take place on Uxbridge Common. It hopes to re-schedule and possibly combine it with an Olympic Games celebration later in the summer.

But elsewhere, people braved the damp and rather chilly conditions to enjoy lots of Jubilee-themed games, sideshows and plenty of refreshments.
