Headteacher Martina Lecky was overjoyed at the success of students at Ruislip High School collecting their GCSE results today with 83 per cent getting five or more A* -C grades.

Eighty-six per cent of science loving youngsters achieved grades A*-C in two science subjects, and out of all the students who completed triple science exams, 98 per cent got A*-C passes in all three sciences.

Maths results beat the target with 80 per cent of pupils getting and A* - C grade, and a staggering 45 per cent of students who sat the History GCSE achieved an A* or A result.

Ms Lecky said: “We have made significant improvements on last year, and I am proud that we are a comprehensive school and these results show we are meeting the needs of students at the top level and at the same time our students with special educational needs.

“I am so pleased that so many of our high achievers are staying on at Ruislip High to complete their A-levels and with these results so many of them have a real chance at getting into a top Russell Group university.”

Head boy Andrey Prikazchikov achieved three A* grades, one of which was in Russian - a language not taught at the school, as well as 9 As and one B.

He said he would be celebrating his results, but first he had to make a visit to the orthadontist.

Matteo Everett was one of two students to gain 10 A*s, Matteo got one for every subject he studied. “It was really hard work but I feel really good now I’ve got the result,” he said.

Matteo follows in his brothers footsteps, who gained 4 As in his AS results last week.

Three talented teenagers gained six A* and a further three gained five of the top grades.
