CHILDREN had the chance to burn off some energy on a climbing wall, in an inflatable castle and in a gladiator jousting game.

Families and friends of pupils at Coteford Infant and Junior Schools in Fore Street, Eastcote, had a blast at the summer fair on Saturday.

The day was packed with entertainment and after tiring themselves out on the inflatables, children enjoyed getting their faces painted, watching performances by Irish dancers and Coteford Infant Choir, and visiting the various stalls selling goodies and international food made by parents.

Racheal Eckley said: “Despite the downpours, everyone had a wonderful time. We had lots of games for the children to play, and we think over 200 families came along.

“The summer fair is our annual community event, bringing together the infant and the junior school, and the local community.”
