FAMILIES have been urged to take part in a keep-fit marathon to raise funds for sports facilities in Hounslow.

A mammoth 12-hour session of Nia - a blend of dance, martial arts and yoga - will take place at Sutton Lane Community Centre, in Moulton Avenue, Hounslow, next Saturday (July 11).

Anyone is welcome to attend the classes, which are free to those being sponsored, whatever their fitness level of ability.

All money raised from sponsorship and other activities on the day will help fund the planned multi-use games area and conservation area at the community centre.

The keep-fit sessions run from 7am to 7pm, with a fun fair from midday to 4pm and a 60s-themed party, with barbecue, from 7-11pm (£2 entry).
Youngsters can enjoy a maze, fairy garden, football competition, bouncy castle and much more at the fun fair.

There will also be a bric-a-brac sale and tombola, with people invited to drop off donations at the centre next Wednesday (July 8) from 10.30am-12.30pm or 6.30-8.30pm.

The full list of Nia classes, which cost £5 each to those not being sponsored (£3 concessions and free to Sutton Lane Residents' Association members) is as follows:
