JLS brought a bit of The X-Factor to Acton Market on a surprise shoot promoting Children in Need.

The popular boyband pulled up in a blacked-out people carrier announcing their arrival through a megaphone, much to the surprise of shoppers on Thursday morning (22).

Handing out merchandise for the BBC's annual fundraiser, the four lads were filmed walking around the stalls chatting to locals and reminding them to tune in on November 18.

The market is run by Action Acton, a social enterprise working with people in deprived areas of Acton and the rest of the borough.

Vanessa Tobiasinsky, market supervisor, said: "It's very exciting to have JLS at the market. It's nice even that we were recognised by the BBC as a worthwhile hub for community life. And also to be involved with promoting such a worthwhile national campaign."

Student Amy McCollum, 20, of Ealing, Hammersmith and West London College, was thrilled to stumble upon the number one singers on her lunch break. She said: "It was really great to meet them. I was a bit nervous but excited. It was an exciting lunch break."
