FOLLOWING last week’s record outstanding A-level results, students at JFS in The Mall, Kenton, have once again obtained excellent GCSE results, exceeding last year’s achievements.
The most notable feature was that 47.5 per cent secured an A* or A grade – up from 46.2 per cent last year – while national results have fallen. The overall pass rate was 99.9 per cent.
Among many exceptional individual achievements were those of Oskar Hollinsworth who got 11 A*s and one A, and Jamie Ingall and Olivia Pomeranc who both got 11 A* grades, and Benjamin Hilton and Kadya Wittenberg who achieved 10A*s and two As.
Additionally, all 18 year nine students who took the Ivrit GCSE early passed with A* grades, reflecting the school’s continued commitment to modern Hebrew.
Headteacher Jonathan Miller said: “We are delighted that so many of our students, supported by their families, have achieved and surpassed their potential, enabling them to proceed to the next stage of their education with confidence.”
