Lucky teen singers will take to the stage at the Royal Albert Hall with Brit Award nominee Jake Bugg.

Ten youngsters, aged 14 to 17, from the Tri-Borough Music Hub practised with the 19-year-old singer-songwriter at a special masterclass.

They will perform Jake's single Broken with the star on Friday (Feb 21) at the climax of his sell-out Albert Sessions concert at the iconic South Kensington venue.

The singing workshop is part of the Royal Albert Hall’s education programme which offers young people in London the opportunity to learn from and be inspired by successful music artists.

Jake led the first workshop of the year with vocal coach Patsy McKay.

The Nottingham singer said: “This event seemed like a great thing to do. The point of it was to show these kids what it’s about and get them inspired. I thought it might inspire me as well, and it was inspiring. It’s youth, it’s vibrant.”

Katie Jimenez, 17, from Grey Coat Hospital School in Victoria, said: “It was really good to get advice and inspiration from Jake. He’s one of my favourite artists and his songs are great.”
