A drug dealer caught peddling crack cocaine and heroin to police in Hounslow has been jailed for three years.

Lukasz Czop, of Berkeley Avenue, Hounslow, asked plain clothes officers 'are you here to buy?' when they found him hiding in a bush in Lampton Park on September 25.

The 20-year-old, who admitted possession with intent to supply class A drugs, was sentenced at Kingston Crown Court on Monday (October 27) to three years in a young offender institution.

PC John Taylor, of Hounslow Crime Squad, said: "Drug dealers cause significant harm to our communities and dependent users have been linked to committing other crimes to fund their drug habit.

"I hope this sentence is an example to those who choose to continue in the path of crime that the police will target you and bring you to justice."

The court heard how at about 6.20pm that evening, officers at the park, in Lampton Road, approached the bush after seeing a number of people go inside before leaving the park a few minutes later.

After Czop had offered drugs to the officers, a number of other people approached him and asked to buy his illicit wares.

Police searched the area and found a crack pipe near Czop, along with a golf ball-sized cling film wrap containing cocaine and heroin.
