A father has been arrested on suspicion of kidnapping his three-year-old son.

Nathan Williams, three, was found safe and well in Milton Keynes on Thursday night after being allegedly taken from his Isleworth home nine days earlier.

Mother Sarah Hendry has been frantically appealing for help to find the youngster since he was "kidnapped" on April 13. Police said they were "concerned for the safety" of the child.

The boy who recently moved to Isleworth from Luton was found in a car by by Bedfordshire Police just after 7pm on Thursday night with his 27-year-old father and another man.

His father Nathan Williams senior of Thracknalls Close in Luton, was arrested on suspicion of kidnap.

One other man has also been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit kidnap and two women, one from Luton and another from Bedford plus a man from the Watford area, were arrested on the same charges but were bailed pending further police enquiries.

Nathan senior of Thracknalls Close in Luton, also appeared in Luton Magistrates' Court on Saturday after being charged with threats to kill.

A police spokeswoman said: "The child has been found safe and well and returned to mum.

"The police would like to thank all members of the public who have helped with the search for Nathan."
