FIVE-year-old Heidi Gilder proved she was a natural at fishing after hooking a huge 32lb Mirror Carp on her first trip.
The Spring Grove School, Isleworth, pupil made her catch at Farlows Lake in Iver, Buckinghamshire, where she spent was enjoying her first fishing trip.
Her father Scott Gilder, 33, of Spencer Road, Isleworth, accompanied Heidi and is a seasoned fisherman.
He said: “The catching of this fish was all Heidi's own doing, I had to support her weight against the fish, but little Heidi was fully in control. Heidi was so excited, and has now asked for her very own pink fishing rods, which she will soon be getting”.
Farlows Lake provides year round action for anglers of all persuasions. It comprises a 25 acre main lake, a five acre match lake, and a junior pool.
