A five day event is being held at the Three store in the Kings Mall to help people who are new to the Internet about the benefits of getting online.

From Monday, October 31 to Friday, November 4, staff at the store will be giving away an hour of their time each day as part of Race Online 2012's Go On Give An Hour campaign.

The campaign is asking the 30-million people who use the Internet everyday to spend an hour to help people unfamiliar with the web.

Three's director of retail, Jacqueline Kelleher, said: "During the Give an Hour initiative, Three's focus will be on showing people the benefits of the Internet, and explaining to them how they can quickly, affordably and easily get online in a variety of ways. This hour will not be about selling people products or services, but simply about opening a door to the world wide web, and helping inspire and support people to take their first steps."
